Why are we here?

THRIVE! creates achievement communities that help members define and achieve important personal and professional objectives. We combine instructional content, strong social connections, access to experts, and a fresh style to challenge, engage, and support our members. We developed THRIVE! out of a desire to help those around us find greater happiness and success in their lives. We became frustrated by the challenges described by our families, co-workers, and friends.

Many people we speak with complain about being dissatisfied with some aspect of their life, yet they fail to take the necessary steps to improve it. They may lack confidence, know-how, or the resources they feel they need to make a lasting change. Others feel they are all alone in their pursuits. Most complain about being too busy living less than satisfactory lives to be able to start the change process. Some feel the pain of wanting something different without being able to describe exactly what this means. They feel stuck - they want more from life, but they don't know how to go about getting it.

It doesn't have to be this way. The simple truth is that anyone can improve their life if they are willing to learn how and do what it takes to succeed.

Until now, there were two primary choices for people wanting to make this type of change. Self-improvement books and individual coaching. Books and magazines feature helpful frameworks, tips, quizzes, and other tools and information. They are widely available and are relatively affordable. Unfortunately, these books and magazines produce changes that are incredibly short-lived. The reader's determination to change usually lasts only a few days and eventually, they find they are no better off than when they started. Individual coaching, on the other hand, features a greater degree of interaction and support. Client and coach work together for weeks on end, leading to more sustainable change and a greater likelihood of success. Still, there are limitations to this improvement path. For most people, individual coaching is prohibitively expensive.

The end result is that most people - even those who want to make meaningful changes in their lives - are left unfulfilled and frustrated. We knew that to truly help those around us, we would need to take a fresh approach.
